Rides at Other Clubs and Associations

Other Clubs and Associations also organise group motorcycle rides. These provide a great opportunity to further ride, socialise, improve your skills, and let other people know how MRAWA can help them. The following list is not complete, but probably links to most of the organised rides available in Western Australia. If you find others then please let me know so they can be added to the list.

Most of the clubs welcome guests on their rides, but some might require prior approval before non-members can join their rides - if in doubt, contact the club before planning to join rides linked below. Where I know the policy is to welcome non-member guests I have listed that - if I have any of those wrong please tell me and I will fix it ASAP.

• MRA WA: our own ride and event calendar.
• Bikes Unlimited: members share an interest in customised motorcycles. Guests welcome, particularly to the annual Bikers' Charity Ride.
• Christian Motorcyclists Assoc of WA: riders with a Christian focus.
• Feral Femmes: primarily for women who ride. Guests are welcome, especially at the annual shocking frock ride.
• Open Road Motorcycle Touring Club (ORMTC): one of the earliest riders clubs in W.A.
• Patriots WA: primarily for regular, reserve and ex-serving members of the defence forces. Guests are welcome, particularly to the Memorial Ride in May.
• Perth Street Bikes: an active online community for bikers that also organises rides.
• Ulysses Club - Ulysses is a social riding club primarily for people over the age of 40. Guests are welcome. Most Ulysses rides are on Sunday; and, most riders are on medium to large tourers or cruisers. However, Fremantle branch runs a ("plod") ride every Wednesday morning; and, Perth branch runs occasional rides specifically for small bikes and scooters ("Ulyttlies").

• Veterans Motorcycle Club of Australia (WA): primarily for Vietnam Veterans and other service people.
• WA Riders (WAR): these riders use an e-mail mailing list to advise of rides.
• Clubs primarily for a specific type of bike:
  • BMW Club for Beemer fanciers; guests are welcome.
  • Club Virago: primarily for Yamaha cruisers. Guests are welcome.
  • Ducati Owners Club: for Ducati owners. Guests are welcome, particularly to the annual NUMDUC Rally.
