AGM Treasurer EO Year Report 2021

The role of MRAWA Treasurer was handed over in July 2020. The outgoing Treasurer did not provide
a system to maintain Treasury records so an excel based spreadsheet was prepared / used to capture
MRAWA fund transactions throughout the 2020 – 2021 financial year.

The Treasury records have been issued to the President and Secretary for review and audit.

The 2020 – 2021 financial year has been a busy period for MRAWA.

Three grants were provided and distributed within MRAWA and RSC Safety awareness campaigns.

1. Motorcycle Safety Week $ 5,511.00 (GST inc)
2. National Road Safety Week $ 5,456.00 (GST inc)
3. RSC Partnership $11,000.00 (GST inc)

A fraction of grant funding remains in account to be returned to RSC or held in balance at their
instruction to be used for 2021 – 2022 Safety campaigns. Grant fund management was the largest
proportion of Treasury activity throughout 2020 – 2021 period.

Returning and new members continue to build and have contributed to MRAWA funding balance. Two
donations totalling $50.00 were received.

Merchandise sold is within Numbat Rally balance details, and petty cash. Merchandise management
is under development with the new MO with non-online shop sales controlled within petty cash.

Quarterly GST has been processed (ATO refund $294.00 outstanding for the April – June period).
GST payments and refunds resulted in $70.00 paid to the ATO for the 2020 – 2021 financial year.
Australian Motorcycle Council membership was maintained with $400.00 subscription paid.

The 2020 Numbat Rally resulted in a $178.00 loss with insurance charge ($909.00) considered.

Without grant transactions considered, the largest proportion of MRAWA spend throughout 2020 –
2021 was website development costs. Well invested, the website is now a modern portal for public
information and membership application. Well done to MRAWA Secretary / Webmaster.

Other costs include MRAWA domain name ($37.00), business cards, ($270.00), office stationary /
postage ($150.00), petty cash upkeep ($235.00), MRAWA ride catering ($80.00), PayPal fees
($190.00), Auspost PO box fee ($205.00), Committee Xmas dinner, ($585.00), AGM catering
($305.00) and MRAWA Safety Officer ACRS subscription ($130.00)

MRAWA available funds at 01/07/2020: $12,006.79

MRAWA available funds at 01/07/2021: $12,843.48
01/07/2021 available funds include: $2,120.00 unallocated grant funding

In summary, the MRAWA financial position remains robust to continue supporting WA motorcycling
community and the RSC in the delivery safety campaigns into the 2021 – 2022 period. All Treasury
records detailing funding and spend transactions are held by the President and Secretary for auditing
purposes. All invoices and receipts are stored within the MRAWA email portal. Thank you for the
opportunity to assist the MRAWA committee throughout 2020 – 2021.
