Ride Right

Ride RightRide Right Course.I attended the Ride Right course, run by Dave Wright on Saturday the 28th May at Mirrabooka. What a wonderful mix of people of varying ages, some who have been riding for a long while to ones who have are starting out on their journey of riding motorcycles. The course covered a variety of areas including cornering, braking and how to avoid being an accident statistic. There were some small video clips with tips and instruction on the best ways of riding, in the city and the country. The best positions on the road, (which can constantly change) so you have the greatest chance of being seen.Dave also spoke about changes to helmet regulations, so that European standard accredited helmets can legally be used on Australian roads making them probably the best to wear and hopefully with more options the price will come down. The course went for 3 hours, was very well presented and reminded me to always be vigilant, the better and safer ways of riding and enjoy the ride.Attending rider training and other courses such as this can only enhance my skills, keep me thinking about the best and safest way to ride and enjoying the riding experience.Lyn Jutte.
